Abstract

General information on sequential response bias and subjective randomness is presented. Then the definition of "randomness" and an introductory experiment on sequential response bias in randomization tasks are discussed. The results of the effect of various experimental conditions are discussed in relation to the supposed contributions of psychological functions like memory and attention. The subjective randomness in judgement experiments, the relation between sequential response bias and subjective randomness and finally, some elements of a theory of sequential response bias are discussed.
