Sex-role opinions of Swedish children.

Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to delineate the knowledge of opinions of typical sex-role behaviour in Swedish children. For this, 262 children at different age-levels participated: 56 children aged 3-4 years, 56 aged 6-7, 100 aged 10, and 50 aged 12 years. The results showed that from the age of three, Swedish children have a great deal knowledge about typical female and male sex-role behaviour.
