Abstract

Landmarks in speed reduction measures described include the planning of new residential areas to reduce child casualties, improving safety in older residential areas, reorganisation of city centre traffic, designing streets for mixed traffic, traffic calming in neighbourhoods, traffic calming on arterial roads, sustainable modern approaches, and the use of speed limiters.
