Abstract
The colloquy, dealing with the sight of the driver, sitting in his vehicle, was held in Cologne, Germany. The subjects of the papers presented were: the influence of age on seeing, perceiving and recognizing; layout of the road and range of sight; handling of sight problems during driver instruction and sight problems at night; possibilities and limits of headlamps; the influence of toned windscreens on sight at night; the demands on the field of vision and some measurement methods.
