Abstract

English abstract: The objective of this research mandate was to define directives for the implementation of the variable signs of prescription and danger, as well as for the variable message signs (VMS) and variable information signs (VIS). The first part of the study focuses on existing systems of traffic control in Switzerland, in Europe and in Australia. Based on this knowledge, the second part of the report defines the rules for the use of the variable signs of danger and prescription and variable information boards (VMS/VIS).
