Abstract

Instructions are given for the investigation of all freeway exit and entrance ramps as well as all divided highway intersections having other than a narrow median. This field inspection should include an evaluation of the effectiveness of the existing traffic signs, the pavement markings, and an analysis of the geometrics at locations where a driver could easily become confused and make a wrong-way entry. Recommendations for corrective measures are presented
