Abstract

The simple system treated in Part 1 is limited to two degrees of freedom and is assumed to exhibit zero wheel track and centre of gravity on road level. The analysis of behaviour of a real motor is considerably improved by the introduction of a finite height and width of the vehicle and the inclusion of compliance in wheel suspension and steering system. Non-linearities which originate from geometrical variations due to these compliances will be neglected.
