Abstract

In periods of high wind three types of wind-induced vehicle accidents can be expected to occur: (1) overturning accidents, (2) sideslip accidents and (3) rotation accidents. A general analysis which throws some light on these types of accident and their interrelation is given. Simplifying assumptions have to be made for the problem to be tractable and these are discussed in some detail.
