Simulating vehicle impact.

Abstract

One way to simulate the impact of a vehicle into a barrier is by swinging a raised pendulum into the stationary vehicle. A method that uses known data to determine the correct angle and drop of the pendulum to simulate impact at a given velocity, is given.
