Abstract

The development of complex techniques for road vehicle dynamics simulation in vehicle handling studies using computational methods, is discussed. To study a vehicle's reactions close to its limit of directional stability, long term stability regarding analysis procedure and quick response facilities are required making use of high-performance computers. In order to make efficient use of advanced computer power, the individual requirements of special purpose simulation models are considered in the development of a general purpose model.
