Abstract

The paper describes roadsims (road simulation systems). A road safety instructional system based on computer- video technology designed by Progeni. Progeni is a New Zealand software house with a learning division engaged in developing fourth generation learning approaches. The problem of road safety is seen as a training problem. While road conditions have been increasing in complexity and in the demands placed on the driver, training has changed little. The practice of reading for a theoretical test in particular is of dubious value. There is a need for the application of new training technology.
