Abstract

This article describes a mathematical model which is developed for simulating the dynamic behaviour of a vehicle under various braking conditions thereby using integrated hybrid computer techniques. The five degree of freedom model is correlated with extensive vehicle road test results which show that the model is useful in demonstrating the fundamental characteristics of a braking system under specific conditions.
