Abstract

The development and application of a computer model for the prediction of a vehicle drive-ability phenomenon known as "shuffle" is described. Shuffle is the abnormal vibration of the vehicle due to quick throttle actuation. The computer model has been validated by comparing predicted and measured longitudinal acceleration of the vehicle and proved to be capable to predict the shuffle phenomenon to a sufficient degree of accuracy.
