Abstract

The study comprised a series of six different cars which were made to collide with a dummy moose. The dummy was constructed of rubber cables with a weight of 390 kg. The windscreens of the cars hit the dummy at speeds varying between 65 and 78 km/h. In four cases anthropometric dummies were placed in the cars. Accelerations in these dummies, which were fitted with safety belts, were recorded during collisions with the dummy moose.
