Abstract

The tables contains in this reference document were generated from the HSRC data tapes of accidents occurring in North Carolina from 1979 through 1981. For purposes of these tabulations, only legally reportable accidents not occurring on private property were used. North Carolina accidents from 1979 through 1981 were defined and reported as follows. A legally reportable accident was defined as any collision involving a motor vehicle(s) resulting in injury to or death of any person or total property damage to an apparent extent of two hundred dollars ($ 200.00) or more.
