Abstract

The principle of the intelligent headlamp system is outlined. The principal headlamp design / construction for left and right headlamps for advanced frontlighting system is described. The assembly includes a static bending light, a halogen high beam and a VarioX-module. The functions of the VarioX-module include basic light distribution, recognition distance of basic light functions and a swivelling mode. Additional light distributions include static bending light and high beam spot. The configurations of the intelligent headlamp system in town light, adverse weather light, rain / wet road, heavy rain / wet road, reducing reflex glare in wet road situations, and heavy fog are described.
