Abstract
A mail questionnaire was sent to 1000 persons who owned a motorcycle manufactured in 1978 or later, which had been in traffic for at least 3 months during 1982 and had a cylinder capacity of at least 239 cm³. The survey was carried out in November 1982 and the response rate was 95 percent. The results show that 44.9 percent of the owners had been involved in at least one wobbling or weaving incident during 1982. 8 percent reported at least one serious incident during the same period.
