Abstract

An airline needs a 'slot' to be permitted to use a particular airport. A slot can be described as a combination of rights of arrival, stay, and departure of an airline's aircraft at a particular airport. In this report, a first impetus is given to the development of a slot planning model that enables airlines to determine which slots at an airport are the most profitable.
