Abstract

"Slow ways" are suggested as a separate third system of routes in towns and cities in addition to footpaths for pedestrians and roads for cars. For the use of bicycles and small slow vehicles. These mix safely neither with pedestrians nor with cars. With slow ways, they could provide a convenient and economic form of private transport both for non- car owners, and on many occasions for car owners as well.
