Abstract

This article describes the role of Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SME's) in transport. The Advanced Transport Telematics (ATT) requirements of SME's are discussed. The various transport centres which could provide a proficient ATT strategy for SME's are reviewed. The problems which need to be overcome before SME's can utilize ATT are discussed. This work was undertaken as part of the FAST/TITE feasibility study.
