Abstract
Dutch policy is aimed at reducing car traffic. Physical planning measures are proposed, which are meant to lead to settlement of suitable companies on locations that are served well by public transport. Therefore the present trend of settlement of office buildings on places located near highways is very undesirable. A literature study is performed which focusses on the factors that influence the location choice of companies, especially with respect to locations near highways.
