Abstract

The most important groups that have an influence on the development of the road users' critical transport mode choice behaviour are: (1) parents; (2) police; (3) road administrators; (4) schools; (5) driver training; and (6) colleagues and employers. It is emphasized that traffic educational goals should be aimed at making the people from these groups more conscious about their influence on the traffic behaviour development of road users such as cyclists.
