Abstract

Social Assessment of Technology (SAT) can be defined as a process of analysis, forecasting and assessment of technological futures, and their impacts on society resulting in action options for the decision-makers. The whole SAT process can be represented as a threefold systematic approach which integrates the processes of analysis of decision-making and of information into one dynamic continuum.
