Abstract

The book consists of 5 sections and 14 chapters. The first section is an overview of research on alcohol and traffic safety focusing on English research. Part 2 represents experiences from Scandinavian countries, Britain, Canada and Australia, including also facts about the Federal Republic of Germany and Netherlands. Part 3 deals with considerations and developments in the United States of America. Part 4 deals with various type of intervention used to combat drunken driving. The last section considers the future and research in social psychology, hard technology and trends in government and society. The book is intended to serve the needs of scientists interested in public policy. (Author/publisher)
