The book consists of 5 sections and 14 chapters. The first section is an overview of research on alcohol and traffic safety focusing on English research. Part 2 represents experiences from Scandinavian countries, Britain, Canada and Australia, including also facts about the Federal Republic of Germany and Netherlands. Part 3 deals with considerations and developments in the United States of America. Part 4 deals with various type of intervention used to combat drunken driving. The last section considers the future and research in social psychology, hard technology and trends in government and society.
