Abstract

A conceptual framework is presented for classifying and identifying impacts that can be adressed through demand modelling. The framework is used to analyze specific issues and options for more effective integration of demand modelling, and to analyze the impacts of transportation systems. Based on the framework, recommendations are made from a serious of research tasks aimed at operationalising the linkages between demand analysis and concern for the environmental, social and economic impacts of transportation systems.
