Abstract

Whiplash and injuries of the larynx, trachea and oesophagus are presented. Whiplash, loosely defined, is an acute strain of the cervical spine. Included are injuries of the ligaments, muscles, and discs of the neck. Not included are injuries of the bony structures, fractures and dislocations of the cervical spine.
