Abstract

Major issues on traffic-related offences in the narrowest sense are listed. Statistical data on automotive traffic are abundant in the U.S.A. Important issues are drunken driving and youths. There is a vast literature on enforcement. The mass nature of violation of traffic rules, which can be called a folk crime, lead to selective enforcement of these rules. In traffic-related criminality, 100, these is the public's resistance to control.
