Abstract

Details are given of investigations into automobile crashes involving cars produced during the last two years. Mechanisms of injuries sustained by new car occupants are compared to those sustained by older car occupants. The following types of injuries were analyzed: injuries caused by ejection, steering assemblies, windscreens, instrument panels, floor structures and pedals, head supports, seat back and restraint systems.
