Abstract

A system has been developed for automobiles where in the vehicle the starting circuit and a light and sound warning system are controlled by a designated usage of the front seat belts. The system described in this paper was developed for vehicles produced by General Motors. Certain differences exist between this system and those developed by Ford and Chrysler. It should be noted that the operating characteristics of all the above systems are very similar.
