Abstract

Speeding is considered to be the most frequent cause of road accidents. In Switzerland, as much as 44% of all fatal accidents can be attributed to excessive speed. This paper describes the Swiss policy on speed measures. Measures to reduce speeding as well as a strategy for Switzerland are discussed.
