Abstract

This report describes six years of investigation by the Institute's Subcommittee on Splash and Spray. The work summarizes results to date of efforts to develop and evaluate practical and effective devices and methods for suppressing truck splash and spray. Except for speed reduction when warranted by road and weather conditions, splash and spray research has yet to come up with any device or method which meets the criteria for safety and practicality.
