Abstract

The combined asymmetric network equilibrium problem where the travel demand function may depend upon the travel cost is considered and a new link formulation for this problem which has the desirable feature that uses directly the travel demand function (and not its inverse) is introduced. Assuming that the travel cost and demand functions are monotone it is shown that the equilibrium travel pattern depends continuously upon the travel cost and demand functions.
