The 48th Stapp Car Crash Journal includes papers presented at the Stapp Car Crash Conference, held November 1-3, 2004 in Nashville, Tennessee. This conference is the premier forum for the presentation of research in impact biomechanics, human injury tolerance, and related fields that advance the knowledge of land-vehicle crash injury protection. This year's Journal contains 22 peer-reviewed papers that cover a wide range of timely and important topics including abdomen response and simulation, the effect of impact angle, and biomechanics of 4-point seat belt systems in frontal impacts.
