Abstract

The current and future intermodal transportation planning in Tennessee are discussed. It is stated that intermodal planning gained emphasis at the state level during the completion of the National Highway Functional Classification and Needs Study. Future intermodal planning will be enhanced as the long-range priorities and programming techniques are evaluated and modified and a state wide data bank is developed.
