Abstract

Multi-disciplinary accident investigation reports generated by more than twenty contractors have been compiled in digital form for analysis. Methods for drawing inferences regarding the relationship between crash severity and injury severity in the face of poorly defined samples are presented. The problems of determining accident and injury causation factors are discussed.
