TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2392 consists of 7 papers that explore logistic regression models of the safety of large trucks; a comparison of sichel and negative binomial models in estimating empirical bayes estimates; symbolic data reduction for analysis of naturalistic driving data; the value of prior specification in hotspot identification and before-after road safety studies; short-term forecasting of traffic volume; interactive visualizations for comparing hierarchical data sets; and multiresolution visualization tools to aid in conducting road safety audits.
