Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board No. 1908 examines the use of a linear optimization model to maximize the safety benefits from highway improvements under specific budget constraints and types of crashes at signalized intersections with complete crash data. This volume of the TRR: Journal also explores the events leading to a sport utility vehicle rollover, as well as countermeasures for deer–vehicle crashes. The papers contained in this volume were among those presented at the 84th Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board in January 2005.
