Abstract

If one elects to examine the effectiveness of a countermeasure in transport safety by classical hypthesis testing, the relevant test is that about the difference between the expectations of two Poisson distributed random variables. The first aim of the report is the availability of tables listing the probability of types of errors to restore the balance and to induce use of realistic levels of significance in transport safety.
