Abstract

The analysis made and reported here focuses the value of various restraint systems such as head rests and safety belts which are used in Volvo vehicles. The analysis further includes an evaluation of the material in general and the total accident cases in particular in view of applicable requirement of the VESC specifications. The statistical analysis is based on accident data of Volvo vehicles during 1972 in Sweden.
