Abstract
Tables of statistics are presented in the form of time series. As far as possible the figures are given for 1970 and 1971, and 1963 (the base period for calculation of index numbers). Data are given for: 1. Road traffic accidents involving personal injury, total and according to surroundings; 2. Persons killed or injured, and 3. by category of road user, age group and surroundings; 4. Road accidents in which the effect of alcohol was involved during 1971; 5. Number of motor vehicles and cycles with auxiliary engine; 6. Estimated vehicle-kilometers run; 7. Estimates of population and distribution by age group. The text is in English, French and Russian.
