Abstract

Members of the Staysafe Committee have considered the submissions made, the evidence given and the issues involved in the use by drivers of radar detectors and jammers. It is concluded that the chief reason for these uses is the perceived inappropriateness of legal maximum speed limits. It is recommended that because radar jammers are used solely to interfere with law enforcement, the legislation should ban their use.
