Abstract

Methods of evaluating the steering and handling characteristics of a motor vehicle equipped with fail-safe tyres when one of its tyres deflated, are described from a safety point of view. The effect of the tyre characteristics and design parameters of the vehicle on its characteristics is by referring to computation examples is discussed.
