Abstract

This research was concerned with tracking a remote target moving in depth. A 3-D television system provided visual feedback, and direct and sided pursuit tracking systems were evaluated as a function of target speed. The stereoscopic display was shown to be generally satisfactory for remote-control operations, although some fatigue or ''eyestrain" was reported, probably due to the optics of the system.
