Abstract
More and more voices are heard demanding that the exhaust fumes of cars must be decreased. The car is one of the evils as regards the production of carbon monoxide or nitrogen oxide. Some solutions are discussed but the author warns for would-be solutions which are created if the American specifications and rules are adopted. It looks a relatively easy method for a quick improvement, but it is a would-be solution.
