Abstract

The author reports that the underride guard question is obviously something that requires considerable debate before it is written down as the law of the land. Fitting underride guards could be practically impossible to some vehicles such as dustcarts, skiploaders, and rear tail lift vehicles where rear end equipment would foul the bumper.
