Abstract

The multiple product densities devised as an extension of product densities are applied in the study of moderately heavy road traffic problem. Moderately heavy traffic flows are considered when vehicles move in a series of hunches. Mean density functions are obtained for time-independent overtaking and slowing down rates of vehicles. Finally it is shown that Janossy's-function technique yields results comparatively easier than product densities. The first and the second moments of the number of vehicles are obtained.
