Abstract

The stop lamp design described seems to assure a night and day visibility comparable or even better than the present double level lamp with lower glare. The drawbacks of this design are the sensitivity to the height difference between the driver eye and the stop lamp, which require low mounting height for the lamp, and the necessity for a good aiming of the lamp.
