Adequate depth of observation is possible without vision in both eyes. Difficulties in road traffic can occur, if fusion in sub-normal binocular vision breaks down under dissociating environmental conditions, such as in the switch from one to two eyed. The paper reports on illnesses involving temporary double vision.
