Abstract
This report discusses some different strategies and some concrete activities to improve the position of the elderly people in traffic. The aim is to repel the number of accidents of the elderly, to decrease their feelings on the lack of safety and to maintain or improve their mobility. Training and instruction, education, information, police surveillance, adaptation of the vehicle, traffic provisions and adaptation of the environment and infrastructure are discussed. The possibility of a so-called mobility centre, after the English example, is determined.
