Abstract

This report is a compendium of promising sentencing practices that were proposed at the DWI Sentencing Summit held at the National Judicial College in March 2004. This document is designed for judges who want to be creative and look for new ways to reach the DWI offender, when traditional sentencing options have been exhausted. It should be noted that some of the strategies are not research based, but have promise in the jurisdictions where they have been utilized. (Author/publisher)
